Tips & Recommendations
I traveled to El Salvador during a six-week solo trip in autumn 2023. When I arrived, I spent some time with a local friend in San Salvador before going to Lago de Coatepeque for three days. While at Lago de Coatepeque, I ate pupsas daily & purchased them from a local cart for $0.75 per pupsa, kayaked on the lake, cliff dove into the lake, and hiked Santa Ana Volcano. Next, I traveled to El Zonte, where I stayed for three days at Puro Surf Hotel and had an incredible experience. While at Puro, I partook in ice baths, practiced yoga, worked out in the gym, swam in the two private pools, and worked from the common areas.
