Tips & Recommendations
I traveled to Guatemala during a six-week solo trip in autumn 2023. When I arrived, I went directly to Lake Atitlán, where I stayed for four days. While at Atitlán, I stayed at Selina's Panajachel location and hopped to San Marcos & Santiago for mini day trips via boat taxi. I also kayaked to the middle of the lake. Next, I traveled to Antigua, where I stayed for three days and visited Hobbitenango, the historical sites in the city, and the flagship McDonalds & Starbucks locations, dubbed to be amongst the most beautiful franchise locations of these chains in the world.
